Programming associated with the Festival de l'Histoire de l'Art - Ville de Fontainebleau
Présentation
Every year, several institutions and partners develop programs associated with the Festival de l'histoire de l'art, in the Pays de Fontainebleau.
Here is the program associated with the Festival de l'histoire de l'art sur la ville de Fontainebleau:
- Exhibition Le Vrai, le Faux: Plus vrai que nature! Science and technology at the frontiers of reality. Ecole des Mines, Bibliothèque de Mines Paris - PSL , 38 rue Saint-Honoré, Fontainebleau
Friday June 6, 2pm to 6pm
Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8, 10am-6pm
June 9 to July 31: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm, Wednesday, 1.30pm to 5.30pm
Observe, understand, imitate nature: the Mines Paris PSL library invites you to explore the relationship between science, technology and the real world. While modeling - whether theoretical or practical - has enabled us to decipher complex phenomena, observation and understanding of nature have in turn inspired technical innovation. Today, with digital modeling, our relationship with reality is evolving: immersive and creative experiences are pushing back the limits of perception.
The exhibition will highlight scientific representation in all its forms, from graphic modeling to AI-assisted experiments. Virtual reality demonstrations will be offered in collaboration with the Institut des Transitions Numériques.
Exhibition offered by the Mines Paris - PSL Library, in partnership with the school's Institute for Digital Transitions.
- Inauguration Le Vrai, le Faux: Bonaparte through the prism of urban art,
Rue de Ferrare, opposite the Château parking lot, Fontainebleau
Friday June 6, 2pm, inauguration by Mayor Julien Gondard
Discover the huge fresco adorning the rear facade of Fontainebleau's municipal theater, created by Nadège Dauvergne and freely inspired by Jacques-Louis David's neo-classical work Bonaparte franchissant le Grand-Saint-Bernard (Bonaparte crossing the Great St Bernard), kept at the Château de Malmaison national museum.
Commissioned by the City of Fontainebleau
- Le Vrai, le Faux walk: In the footsteps of Denecourt, in the forest of Fontainebleau, RDV Faisanderie - ONF Center, departure carrefour du Coq, Fontainebleau
Saturday June 7, 9:30 am
In the XIXᵉ century, thanks to bourgeois tourism, walking guides proliferated, notably the famous guide created by Denecourt to reveal the treasures of the forest of Fontainebleau. Developments to make the forest accessible led to the creation of waterfalls and other artificial caves, such as the "brigands' cave" in the Apremont gorges, dug out in 1844 and then described as the lair of authentic XVIIIᵉ assassins.... The Friends of the Forest, bearers of Denecourt's legacy, take you on a discovery of these trails and their legends.
