The Seine-et-Marne rail network covers almost 650 kilometres, including 200 kilometres of high-speed lines. It comprises :

  • 4 RER lines (A, B, D, E),
  • 3 Transilliens lines (K, P, R)
  • 2 TGV stations (Chessy and Roissy)

Cycling in Seine-et-Marne

Cycle paths offer an interesting alternative to the car for local and inter-communal travel.

For years, the département has been working to develop “soft links” – routes dedicated to cycling, walking and rollerblading. The benefits: they protect the environment, enhance the quality of life and boost the attractiveness and economic vitality of the département.

  • The Seine-et-Marne department has been involved in the development of a huge cycle route, Eurovélo3. The French part of EuroVelo, known as the “Scandibérique”, is the longest cycle route in France (1700 km)
